Lead Flashing & Waterproofing

Lead flashing is a critical waterproofing element wherever a roof meets a wall, chimney, dormer, or any other vertical surface. At Safe Guard Roofing South, our roofers are highly skilled in all aspects of traditional leadwork, from simple step flashings to complex valley linings and box gutters.

We use only code 4 and code 5 milled lead sheet manufactured to BS EN 12588 standards, ensuring the correct weight and thickness for each application. Our lead installations include step flashings, apron flashings, cover flashings, secret gutters, back gutters, and cheek flashings. Every piece is carefully measured, cut, and bossed by hand to achieve a precise fit.

In addition to traditional leadwork, we offer modern waterproofing solutions including liquid-applied membranes and self-adhesive flashing tapes for areas where lead may not be appropriate. All our waterproofing work is designed to provide long-lasting protection against water ingress, with written guarantees on all installations.
